Join us for an evening of Celtic Groove with new-band-in-town Marrow Bones!
Marrow Bones is an acoustic power-trio composed of Mary Beth Carty of Antigonish (accordion, guitar, bones, voice, foot-stomp), Colin Carrigan of Newfoundland (fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki), and Roy MacLaren of the Eastern Townships of Québec (whistles, banjo, pipes). The trio began by hosting an annual spring barn-dance a few years back. Now, they are poised for ceilidh-domination with a fresh mash-up of tune sets, waltzes, and unusual songs.
FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BAND :
Mary Beth Carty was awarded Traditional Singer of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards!
Colin Carrigan is a trained luthier and built his own fiddle!
Roy MacLaren is the whistle player on Joel Plaskett's song Sailor's Eyes!
All ages! Children free!
