Marrow’s Dream is an unfolding act of transformation by iLiminal Butoh Collective. Rooted in the language of Butoh, performers move through states of dissolution and renewal, drawing on the body’s ability to hold memory, tension, and release. The work does not aim to tell a single story. Images rise and fall like fragments of a dream, unfolding in an unknown terrain of time and space.
At its heart, Marrow’s Dream explores what lies beneath the skin, the hidden marrow of experience, and the raw pulse of being that continues even as forms break down. The work unfolds through shifting states rather than scenes, allowing sensation and subconscious material to guide what emerges.
The performance incorporates live modular soundscape, live projection, and tea ceremony, shaping a shared atmosphere of attention and uncertainty. Through movement, sound, image, and simple ritual, the audience is invited into a liminal space of becoming.

iLiminal Butoh Collective is an international ensemble exploring perception, transformation, and the subconscious through the raw poetry of Butoh. Their work bridges performance and ritual, inviting participants into spaces of deep listening, shared presence, and embodied imagination. Through workshops, residencies, and performances, the collective creates experiences that honour impermanence, relational tension, and the shifting landscapes of the inner world.
