YOUR SPOUSE IS NOT YOUR ENEMY — BUT SOMETIMES YOU MAKE THEM ONELet’s be honest.
Some of you don’t have marriage problems.
You have ego problems.
You don’t want peace.
You want to win.
You screenshot conversations.
You report your spouse to friends.
You drag them in front of family.
Then you say, “Marriage is hard.”
No.
Pride is hard.
“Only by pride cometh contention…” — Book of Proverbs 13:10
The moment you start competing with your spouse, you’ve turned your partner into opposition.
Marriage is not: Husband vs Wife.
It is: Both of you vs the problem.
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves…” — Book of Ecclesiastes 4:12
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
If you constantly insult, disrespect, withhold affection, compare them to others, and threaten divorce during every argument…
You are slowly training your spouse to see you as the enemy.
And don’t forget:
“The tongue has the power of life and death.” — Book of Proverbs 18:21
Some marriages are not under attack.
They are under ego.
Let’s talk honestly
Is pride the biggest problem in modern marriages?
Should couples stop involving friends in private arguments?
Have you ever apologized even when you felt you were right?
