The artists Ivan Markovic and Katharina Hauke present their ongoing collaborative film project “Promised Spaces”, which is set in Cambodia. Born 1989 in Belgrade, Serbia, Ivan Marković studied Art and Media at the University of Arts Berlin The cinematographer and director lives and works between Belgrade and Berlin. German Katharina Hauke is a Berlin-based audio and visual artist investigating the question of identity, subjectivity, the medium, perspective and other forms of perception. She works with both video and audio recordings and their manipulation.
For their two-nights-only-event “Walls, Echoes”, Marković and Hauke will set up a mini-exhibition, besides showing films, photography, and sound works. On the first night, Meta House invites you to the screening of “From Tomorrow On, I Will” (2019, 60 mins) by Ivan Marković and Linfeng Wu. The film dives into the life of Li, a migrant worker living in Beijing. Q&A after screening.
