Join Us for the Telford Fostering Marketplace Event this Foster Care Fortnight

Whether you're curious about fostering, already part of the Telford Fostering family, or simply want to learn more about the support available to children and families in your community, this event has something for you.
As part of Foster Care Fortnight, Telford & Wrekin Council's fostering service is throwing open its doors for an informal, welcoming marketplace-style evening. Browse a range of information stalls, chat with the people behind the service, and discover just how much is on offer when you foster with us.
For prospective foster carers, this is the perfect first step. Meet our friendly recruitment team, hear first-hand from experienced foster carers about what the role is really like, and find out everything you need to know about the assessment process, the children who need loving homes, and the exceptional training and support that comes with fostering through Telford & Wrekin Council.
For current foster carers, come and connect with colleagues across children's services, from Family Solutions to our systemic offer, and celebrate the incredible peer support that makes the Telford Fostering community so special. Our Unity support groups and the Foster Carers Association will be on hand to showcase the vital networks you help to build and sustain.
For families and the wider community, come and learn about the range of arrangements that support children locally, including kinship care, Staying Put (supporting young people to remain with their foster family beyond their 18th birthday), Special Guardianship Orders, and private fostering arrangements. Dedicated colleagues will be there to talk through the local kinship offer and how families can access support.
