Inviting the PISD & FISD Schoolers to our Spring Camp @ KIDZ CAMP MONTESSORI in March to learn French and Abstract Art March is special as the gateway to spring (renewal, longer days, nature waking up), a month of cultural celebrations (St. Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras, Women's History Month), and a time of transition with varied weather, marking new beginnings in nature, history, and personal calendars.
Nature & Seasons
Spring's Arrival: It marks the start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, bringing longer days, warmer weather, and the return of migrating birds.
Renewal: Nature awakens with green shoots, budding trees, and wildlife activity, symbolizing rebirth.
Full Worm Moon: March's full moon is named for earthworms emerging, signaling the start of planting.
Culture & Celebrations
Women's History Month: A time to honor women's contributions and achievements, with International Women's Day on March 8th.
St. Patrick's Day: A globally recognized celebration of Irish culture and heritage.
Mardi Gras: A festive Carnival season that can begin in January and culminates in late February/early March with parades and revelry.
Spring Break: A popular vacation period for students in the U.S.
Craft Month: An initiative to inspire creativity and new hobbies.
History & Lore
Roman Origins: Named after Mars, the god of war, as it was when military campaigns resumed after winter.
