About this Event
The Art Work of Mark Di Vincenzo
Buffalo, NY. Eleven Twenty Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibit featuring the work of Mark Di Vincenzo. The exhibition will feature paintings from his new series, The Beauty of Decay as well as large scale surrealist landscapes from recent years. The exhibition will open with a reception on Friday, April 17th from 5-8 pm and will run through May 16, 2026.
Di Vincenzo, an established painter whose career spans more than four decades, is known for expressive oil paintings that explore natures threshold between abstraction and realism. Working primarily in oils and gouache, his paintings translate lived experience into layered color, movement, and light; works that feel at once grounded in nature and magically transcendent. This exhibition reflects the artist’s continued exploration of the mystical dimension of living; paintings that hover between seen and felt, inviting viewers to slow down and encounter beauty in its most fleeting forms.
Raised in Buffalo and shaped by early classical training in portraiture, Di Vincenzo later lived and worked in Siena, Italy; San Fransisco, California; and New York City, experiences that broadened his artistic language while deepening a lifelong obsession with painting the spiritual in-between of seasons, light and decay that reflects his Buddhist practice and way of life.
Di Vincenzo’s fine art career includes solo exhibitions at the Nina Freudenheim Gallery in Buffalo, NY, and Sears-Peyton Gallery in New York City. His work is held in both private and institutional collections, including the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Morgan Stanley, Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYU, among others worldwide. Di Vincenzo's career has also included architectural art and restoration projects throughout the City of Buffalo and NYC.
This exhibition offers collectors, curators, and the public an opportunity to experience new work from a mature artist whose paintings offer not only visual richness, but a contemplative encounter with the deeper currents of life.
