About this Event
On Saturday April 26th, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and Massachusetts Bay Lines will host 3 free Marine Mammal Safaris to search for seals and porpoises and share songs and stories of Boston Harbor and the sea. These free trips are open to the public. We welcome school and community groups, youth organizations, friends, families, and children.
TRIP 1: Boards at 9:00am, departs at 9:30am, and returns by 11:00am
TRIP 2: Boards at 11:15am, departs at 11:30pm, and returns by 1:00pm
TRIP 3: Boards at 1:15pm, departs at 1:30pm, and returns by 3:00pm
All three trips depart from and return to the Massachusetts Bay Lines dock at Rowes Wharf at Gate C (behind the Boston Harbor Hotel). You can find directions at http://www.massbaylines.com/wharf-and-contact/
These cruises are free but space is limited, so reservations are required. Since this is a free event, we anticipate more folks reserving tickets for each time slot than will actually show up. To secure your spot on the boat, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time (see above). Once the boat reaches its capacity during the boarding process no one else will be allowed aboard.
We suggest you wear warm clothing, and bring a camera or binoculars. Snacks and beverages may be purchased aboard the boat, but you are also welcome to bring your own snacks and water.
A very special thank you to our Youth and Family Program Funders and Massachusetts Bay Lines for their generous support of this event
