About this Event
Journey to become a marine biologist! Dive into the world of marine biology on this extraordinary expedition! This summer camp offers a dynamic, hands-on introduction to marine biology and sea turtles. Participants will conduct ocean experiments, adopt a plush sea turtle, and partake in a collaborative rescue and release of a Leatherback sea turtle. Along their journey, they’ll uncover the mysteries of ocean layers, vertebrates vs. invertebrates, water pressure, and more! They’ll also explore marine mammals, ocean animal babies, and ocean predators. This engaging summer camp culminates in their graduation as Little Marine Biologists, empowering them to protect our oceans, where participants are equipped to be advocates for the protection of sea turtles. No live animals are used.
Please provide your child with 2 peanut-free snacks, water bottle and lunch. We go out to the field (weather permitting) for lunch and snacks. Child needs to be picked up promptly at 4 pm daily.
