Marilyn 100: Centennial Screening featuring Bus Stop and Experimental Shorts
A Private Screening Event Presented by Mixed Materials
Curated by Jasmine Siddall, MFA
Join us for an intimate centennial celebration honoring Marilyn Monroe through a special screening of Bus Stop (1956), accompanied by curated short films, experimental video works, and a pre-show montage exploring performance, celebrity, and image.
This program reflects on the struggle between two Marilyns—the one invented for public consumption, and the other who possessed a deep desire to be taken seriously as an actress.
The evening will also feature a limited-edition zine, cocktails, snacks, and community conversation in the courtyard before the feature presentation.
Short and experimental film line-up will be announced soon.
