The Mariachi Extravaganza is the most important mariachi event in the world for competitive mariachi. The music festival serves host to the National Vocal and Group Competitions that are held LIVE at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in downtown San Antonio. Admission wristbands can be purchased at the door for $25 and are good from all three days of events.Thursday, December 5 - Vocal Competition Semifinals @ 5:00 PM.
Friday, December 6 - Group Competition Semifinals @ 2:00 PM.
Saturday, December 7 - Competition Finals @ 9:00 AM.
Winners of the competitions will perform Live at the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán concert on Saturday night (Tickets sold seperatly through Ticketmaster. For more information visit mariachimusic.com.
