About this Event
Come learn about the old Welsh custom of The Mari Lwyd or Grey Mare (holiday blessing horse) and make a little equine beastie of your own! This Mari Lwyd workshop focuses on kids and families and encourages hands on learning.
Kids age 7 and up are welcome to make thier own Mari Beast for the Wild Hunt of Vista Procession. Each attendee can create and decorate thier own holiday horse to be collected by Twisted Heart Puppetworks at the end of the workshop. They will be available for your family to walk in the procession with us on December 14th or they can be used by other particiapants and picked up by you afterwards. If you plan to walk with your Mari Beast, you will need to register for The Wild Hunt of Vista at www.thewildhuntofvista.com
This workshop is lead by Alea Ferrier and Tania Yager and takes place at Backfence Society in Downtown Vista. Fee covers materials and no refunds will be given. Please make sure that if you sign up, you are available. Seats are limited!
