Calling all young detectives to join us in celebrating THE SHREW DETECTIVE, the delightful new middle grade novel by Margi Preus!
About this Event

Wind in the Willows meets Enola Holmes in this exciting, young middle grade mystery series from Newbery Honor–winning author Margi Preus and with art from Junyi Wu. Enjoy a chat with Margi Preus, followed by a Q&A and book signing!

To attend: This event is open to the public, but registration helps us when considering spatial constraints. You can register for a ticket for free by clicking on the button and preorder a copy of the book on Red Balloon's website at this link. Additional copies of The Shrew Detective will be available for purchase during the event, but ordering ahead guarantees your copy.

Signing Guidelines: Following the event, Margi Preus will sign and personalize copies of the book. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon can have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they're ready to be picked up.

Accessibility: Red Balloon Bookshop is wheelchair accessible and has a disability parking spot directly behind our store. If you have a disability or medical condition and have questions about or need other specific accommodations, please email [email protected] or call 651-224-8320.

Code of Conduct: Red Balloon strives to create a kind, safe, and welcoming space where everyone is treated fairly and thoughtfully, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, or ability.

We ask that everyone—booksellers and customers alike—follow these standards whether in our shared physical space or online.
