The scenic “Caves Road” takes us through Boranup Forest’s pale-barked Karri Trees to Cape Leeuwin, Australia’s most south-westerly point. This is the point where the Indian and Southern Ocean meet. The Cape is known for its rough westerly winds – called “roaring forties” by the locals – during the colder winter months. This is the point where the Indian and Southern Ocean meet. From here the nearest landmass is Africa to the west and Antarctica to the south. After a visit to the picturesque Hamelin Bay, drive to Yallingup, the northern end of the Cape to Cape region.
