Marek Kochmanski, Marek Kochmanski was born in Poland in 1981. From the age of 7 he was taking private piano lessons and went on to study music at University of Silesia from where he graduated B.Mus in 2005 as a pianist, composer and educator. As a classical pianist participated in professor Dmitri Alexeev's masterclass and had private tuitions with prof. dr hab. Michal Korzistka. As a Jazz musician he studied at Chick Corea Academy.
Marek moved to Scotland in 2006 since than he has been teaching music and playing recitals in Poland and Scotland. In 2015 he won First Prize in Lady Fermoy Piano competition, part of the Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival in Oban. In 2018 Marek Recorded a CD with classical and improvised repertoire.
On the 27th of November listeners will be able to hear performances of Marek Kochmanski and his students.
