Marcia Bennett-Male: Stone carving workshop & artist talk

For around three decades, artist Bennett-Male has made her living as a stone carver and letter cutter, while intermittently expressing a very different aspect of her personality through her textile pieces.

Her carvings revolve around the universal topic of food and tend to be subtle and meditative, expressing the pleasure she derives from the shapes and forms of organic food produce, looking especially at produce from the African diaspora.
