Join Lost River Pride as we march in the 2025 World Pride Parade in Washington, DC, on Saturday, June 7, 2025! Lost River Pride is looking for anyone who would like to represent Hardy County, the State of West Virginia, or anyone who is an ally of the Mission of Lost River Pride. Lost River Pride is proud to be one of the only (as far as we know, we are the only) representatives from the State of West Virginia in the parade. We are looking for a group of Hardy County/Lost River Transplant residents or weekenders to march with us in the World Pride Parade!
Participants will be responsible for their transportation to and from Washington, DC for the parade. Lodging is not being provided to parade marchers. This will be a long, tiring, and emotional day for all of us! Lost River Pride will provide shirts to all marchers in the parade and materials to hand out to the crowd.
Report time to the parade lineup is likely around 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The Parade route is about 1.5 miles long, and marches at a slow pace. Comfy shoes, sunscreen, water, and nutrition will be key! We will definitely have some items on hand for the group to stay hydrated.
Participants should be physically able to walk 3 miles comfortably as this is a MARCHING contingent in the parade. While we will have at least one vehicle in the parade, we cannot guarantee a seat in the car at any point.
