About this Event
At PAL's March Monthly Meeting: Mardie Rees will be giving a presentation on the creation of monumental bronze sculptures. Her engaging, art‑filled experience is designed to spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and reveal the fascinating world of bronze sculpture. She is an award-winning Northwest figurative artist based in Gig Harbor with over twenty years of professional experience, and her life‑size bronze works appear in museums, hospitals, schools, and private collections throughout the region and abroad. Local installations include pieces in Burien, Gig Harbor, and Tacoma. Her most recent sculpture, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, was unveiled at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw this past September. A number of Mardie’s bronzes are on view at Nedra Matteucci Galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico and T.H. Brennen Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona.
