"An Affair of the Heart: Photographing The Big Thicket"
Michelle was born and raised on the upper Texas Coast. Her passion for the outdoors was fostered by her father and grandmother who both appreciated nature, conservation and the environment. The coast has always been a place of familiarity and one she loves returning to often, but marriage brought her to Hardin County and The Big Thicket and its many treasures.
Michelle has been photographing The Big Thicket almost exclusively for the past 10 years. Her award-winning images have been featured in the Washington Post, East Texas Traveler Photographers Showcase, exhibited at the Silsbee Icehouse Museum and the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. In 2023, Michelle was a featured photographer at the Texas Photography Festival in Georgetown.
Pizza and drinks will be provided for a donation. Desserts welcome.
