Speaker: J. Wren Supak
Wren is an academic museum administrator and curator. In her early career, she worked in the digital music industry. Her scholarly interests include the role of art in peacemaking, especially through creative storytelling. She conducted research in Colombia at the Restrepo Center for Civil Reconstruction at the National University of Colombia and at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, where she was a Hubert H. Humphrey Public Leadership Scholar. Wren teaches across disciplines and has presented her work at events including the Museum Innovation Forum, the College Art Association, and the Nobel Peace Prize Forum. She currently serves as Gallery Director & Curator at Mattie Kelly Arts Center, Northwest Florida State College.
As an abstract expressionist visual artist, she works in drawing, painting, and photography, depending on the project. Her work has been shown at major events, including Art Basel–SCOPE Miami and The Mini Video Art Fest, Budapest, as well as at galleries in Budapest, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York, and Bogotá. Her pieces are in private and public collections, including the Hungarian Multicultural Center in Budapest and the University of Minnesota Physicians Mill City Clinic Collection. Wren holds a master’s degree in public affairs, art and human rights, focused on the role of art in peacemaking, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in studio art.
Luncheon will be by reservation only and must be paid in advance, as a selection of box lunches will be offered.
Reservation deadline is Monday, March 23. When making a reservation, please indicate your choice of sandwich.

All sandwiches served with pickle and chips on the side, water or iced tea, and two cookies.
Cost of the luncheon is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
