Monthly Ableton User Group Event

Goal : Understanding the basic of mixing and to clean up vocals

I. WORKSHOP PRESENTATION

GOING OVER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE 15-20MIN

II. DIFFERENT EQ’S AND EQ BANDS AND CONTROLS

The first 30 min to 1 hour I’m just going to go over the different EQ’s we have and how each

band range can affect vocals. Will also go over how to manipulate and use things like Bell/

Peak, Low Cut (High-Pass); We will use some music examples.

III. EQ FUNDAMENTALS AND COMPRESSION FUNDAMENTALS

For the last half of the class, the last 30 min I will go over basic EQ rules to follow. This will help

you find where to clean up the vocals then this will lead into compression just briefly talking

about. Threshold, Ratio, Release, Makeup and gain
