Hemming, Repair and Alterations Workshop- March 14 2-5p

This workshop is ideal for beginners, as well as those who already have basic
sewing machine skills, or have taken the Machine Basics Workshop. The first 30
min will include a quick review of sewing machine fundamentals, including
threading, winding a bobbin, straight stitch, and zigzag, Making the class friendly
for new beginners while offering a helpful refresher for returning students.
Students will learn essential techniques for hand and machine hemming, clothing
alterations, and basic repairs. Alterations can be costly so learning these skills can
save money and help you expand your wardrobe. Especially useful for thriftiers
who what to update and customize secondhand finds, or those with fit issue. Make
the garments in your wardrobe wearable. Each student should bring one item from
their wardrobe hat needs an update, and a spool of matching thread, including any
trims, buttons or notion needed. All equipment provided, bring a working sewing
machine, or borrow one of ours. This hands-on practical class empowers students
to confidently alter and personalize their clothing.

By completing this registration and payment, you agree to knowingly and freely assume all risk of injury or harm, both known and unknown, even if arising from the environment or negligence of the property owner, instructor, or other and you assume full responsibility and risk for your participation.
· Any special needs seating or other arrangements must be requested in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
If you are registering for more than just yourself, you must make your guest aware of all the information included in this registration.
Tickets are only available through Shore Marketplace, with the above link or by calling to purchase a ticket. You must complete the ticket purchase, and you will receive a confirmation receipt.

Cancellation policy: You will receive a credit toward another SMP class by the artist teaching/ hosting the workshop you registered for, if he or she is notified of cancellation at least one week prior to class date, No Shows will not be credited or refunded. Any credits issued will need to be applied to a class within 6 months!
Classes canceled by the Host or SMP will be eligible for credit or refund.
