What will my child learn at Empire Code’s March-April holiday camps?
At our coding and robotics holiday camps, kids explore:
- Core coding concepts such as sequences, loops, logic, and event blocks - building a strong foundation in computational thinking.
- Game design and animation creation using beginner-friendly platforms like ScratchJr, Scratch, and Tynker, perfect for kids aged 4 and above.
- Hands-on robotics programming with LEGO SPIKE, where children learn to build, code, and problem-solve using real-world engineering principles.
- 3D spatial awareness and creativity through robotics challenges and maker-style projects that combine design thinking with play.
Which program is right for my child?
Each child joins a program designed for their age and learning level:
- Ages 4–6: Learn basic coding concepts with ScratchJr and build simple robots using LEGO SPIKE Essentials - perfect for preschoolers starting their STEM journey.
- Ages 7–8: Explore block-based coding with Tynker and enhance creativity through LEGO SPIKE Essentials robotics projects that teach problem-solving and teamwork.
- Ages 9–12: Dive deeper into game design and programming with Scratch and tackle advanced LEGO SPIKE Prime robotics challenges that develop logical thinking and innovation.
