About this Event

๐Ÿ“ Capitol Hill, Washington D.C.

๐Ÿ“… Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Location: Washington Marriott Capitol Hill, 175 L Street NE, Washington DC, USA, 20002. More details will be shared via calendar invite.

Our mission is to create a RoadMAPP building a sustainable culinary and hospitality industry through workforce developmentโ€”making it easier to recruit and retain highly skilled talent, to increase and improve industry standards.

๐Ÿ“ŒJoin us for MAPP's Advocacy Summit 2025โ€”a powerful day of dialogue, connection, and policy action.

MAPP and the National Partnership for Women & Families are hosting an appetizer and wine reception where you can directly hear from industry leaders of chefs, restaurateurs, food activists and legislators on the most urgent issues affecting policies and workplace practices directly impacting your career growth and business.

This yearโ€™s summit will spotlight the people and policies shaping the future workforce and how together we can create a more sustainable care economy, which includes the food and hospitality industries. Weโ€™ll bring together a coalition of voices to advocate for real, lasting solutions that support highly skilled trained labor, empower entrepreneurs, and raise industry standards around issues that matter to you like affordable, accessible high quality childcare and paid family and medical leave.

  • Workforce and Leadership Development: to solve for one of the highest industry turnover rates (up to 80% annually in the hospitality industry)
  • Immigration: to rally bipartisan support for immigrant-ready work programs and a path towards citizenship since 50 percent of the food industry relies on immigrants
  • National Paid Family Leave and Affordable, Accessible Childcare
