About this Event
Maple Sap Boil on the Greenway - March 22 - 6am – 3pm
Join WRWC for the final gathering in our Nuestros Bosques Event Series: an all-day Maple Sap Boil on the Woonasquatucket River Greenway. Stop by for an hour or stay for the entire process as we transform the sap collected earlier in the season into maple syrup over a steady fire.
As the sap boils, we’ll pause to share gratitude for the trees and river that made this harvest possible. Participants are invited to bring poems, words, music, or other offerings to welcome the new life and energy of spring.
This is a relaxed, reflective, and community-centered day—come when you can, stay as long as you’d like, and take part in a time-honored seasonal tradition.

Part of our ~Maple Tapping on the Woonasquatucket Series~
You are invited to join us in shaping a new tradition on the Woonasquatucket River: maple syrup making! This practice, first developed and still practiced by the Indigenous peoples of this region, offers us an opportunity to connect with the gifts that trees offer, and act on our responsibility to care for them in return. This is a three-part series; feel free to join for as many as you’d like
