Celebrate the sweetness of spring at the Arboretum's Maple Fest β with delicious pancakes paired with hands-on maple syrup learning experiences. Guests can enjoy freshly made pancakes, sausage and local maple syrup before or after exploring Maple Fest stations, where educators and volunteers demonstrate how maple sap is collected, processed and transformed into syrup. This family-friendly tradition invites visitors to savor a delicious meal, discover the heritage of maple sugaring, and enjoy early-spring beauty across the grounds.
Educational activities are included with general Arboretum admission to the Arboretum. If you would like pancakes, purchase a pancake ticket (which also includes Arboretum admission).
We are also offering shuttles to the nearby Horticultural Research Center to learn about black walnut syrup. Tours are being offered at 10 a.m. noon and 2 p.m. While the tours are free, registration is required for this special tour here (tour does not include Arboretum gate admission).
