About this Event
The Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian Alliance (MAP Alliance) invites faculty, staff, and students to an end-of-semester community gathering - a space to come together, reflect, and support one another during a particularly difficult time for many in our community following the ongoing U.S. and Israeli war impacting Iran, Lebanon, and countries across the Gulf and wider Middle East, including Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Jordan, and beyond. This gathering is grounded in MAP Alliance’s mission to foster an inclusive, welcoming environment for individuals of Middle Eastern and related backgrounds, as well as allies across all identities. We recognize that members of our community may be experiencing grief, uncertainty, and a range of emotions, and we aim to offer a non-judgmental, supportive space where people can connect with others who may be similarly impacted. Through shared presence, conversation, and community care, we hope to create a moment of solidarity, healing, and belonging as the semester comes to a close.
We will also have a short presentation by a member of our community on a project he completed for CAIR MA on tracking and reporting Islamophobic incidents in Massachusetts.
Arabic sweets and tea will be served.
