In the chaos of our daily lives, there are numerous yoga practices that we can do to help us to quiet our minds in order to bring us peace. One of the practices that we can utilize is Meditation.
In this class Govind Das will lead a discussion on Bhakti Yoga and guide us through the use of mantras and how to use them in a meditation practice.
Mantra meditation, aka Japa meditation, is an ancient yogic practice of repeating a sound, word, or phrase (a mantra) to focus the mind. By repeating the mantra it gives the mind an anchor to achieve a state of relaxation or deeper awareness.
Dress comfortably and feel free to bring your own meditation cushion or mala if you have one.
Event is FREE but a suggested small donation for Govind Das is encouraged to cover his travel costs. If you wish to make a donation, you can do so via eventbrite or in person at event.
NOTE: Due to stairs, this venue is not handicapped accessible.

Govind Das is the co-director/owner of Bhakti Yoga Shala. He is a kirtan leader and teacher in the path of Bhakti Yoga. His inspiring kirtan and Bhakti Yoga teachings encourage the opening of the heart and developing a personal and intimate connection with Source. He leads programs of kirtan, bhakti yoga workshops, and transformational retreats throughout the world. His lastest single on Spotify is called “Nectar of Love Mahamantra” and has released 5 previous kirtan/mantra cd’s since 2005. Govind.
