About this Event

Mini Meadow Installation: Building a Pollinator Sanctuary - Hellstrip Heroes!

Get your hands dirty and be the growth our earth needs!

Join us for a high-energy, hands-on day of restoration and community building. We aren’t just planting flowers; we are installing a living ecosystem designed to protect our native pollinators and heal our local watershed for years to come.

Whether you are a seasoned gardener or have never touched a shovel, there is a place for you in this project. This is a family-friendly, all-ages event where the entire community comes together to learn, play, and restore.

What We’re Doing:
  • Transform the Hellstrip: Replace grass with pollinator friendly wildflowers.
  • The Mini Meadow Build: Learn our signature 4-step process (Cover, Smother, Seed, Top) using our specialized living soil blend.
  • Regenerative Education: Dive into the basics of permaculture and regenerative agriculture. Learn how healthy soil manages water and sequesters carbon.
  • STEM for Kids: We’ll have nature-inspired STEM activities specifically for our youngest explorers (preschool and elementary) to learn about the magic of pollination.
  • Watershed Wisdom: Discover how native plants act as a filter and sponge for our local environment.

Why It Matters:

Our native bees and butterflies are looking for a home. By focusing on native wildflowers and living soil, we are creating a permanent "Pollination Station" that supports the biodiversity of the Hill Country. When we work together—from our toddlers to our elders—we prove that a small patch of land can make a massive impact.

What to Bring:
  • Cardboard: If you have clean, tape-free boxes, bring them! They are the first layer of our meadow's foundation.
  • Willingness to Learn: No experience is necessary.
  • A "Roll Up Your Sleeves" Attitude: We’ll be working with mulch, soil, and seeds.
  • Water & Sun Protection: Stay hydrated while we work!

Come be a part of the movement!

Let’s build a future where our community and our pollinators thrive together.

BE Wild. BE Community. BE THE GROWTH.
