Ever wanted to see inside a real working hydropower station?
Now’s your chance! King Country Energy and Manawa Energy invite you to a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the Mangahao Power Station as it marks 100 years of renewable energy generation.
There will be entry sessions across the day, with your ticket including bus transport from Shannon School to the power station and a guided tour of the power station and museum.
Please note: Access to the power station is by bus transport only. Traffic control will be in place with no private vehicle access to the station available.
