This month’s theme: Telling the Truth in Relationships
We all want the fairy tale version, the deep love, the happily ever after. But, in the real world, relationships are a negotiation between sovereign individuals to foster and create connection that feeds both (or all) of the individuals. Relationships call on us to speak up, and speak truth. But sometimes we don’t! Or can’t. And sure, this could be willful manipulation or gaslighting to serve a selfish agenda. But most often our intentions are good, and we hold back for other reasons: to protect others, to protect ourselves. Maybe we are confused, or don’t know because we haven’t excavated the deeper truth from our unconscious. Join us this month to explore yours and other men’s experiences around truth-telling with intimate partners and friends.
After sharing, we will move into a men's only ecstatic dance container, where we'll have a chance to get primal, get real, get spirit-y, get connected, and get down! As always, in keeping with the ecstatic vibe, it'll be a choose your own adventure scenario, but we will provide some structural pieces to allow for the whole range of masculine energies to show up: from a slower, contact improv-y area with mats (The Muddle Puddle) to a faster, more rough and tumble area (The Mesh Pit).
This is a container for anyone who identifies as a man. Queer and trans friendly.
