Started last year, Ashlishyn Noa (New Visions) is an exciting new venture, featuring original work created by IOM-based artists.
This year will feature:
- Excerpts from Drogh Vraane, an upcoming folk opera, inspired by the story of Ann Thompson and written in Manx Gaelic by Aalin Clague,
- BRAT (2024) by Manx fashion designer Shannen Maria Samuel, a DIY proof-of-concept short film exploring the complexities of inner identity when moving from the Isle of Man to the chaos of London,
- A new commission for Culture Vannin's Triesht26 in which Matthew Warren explores the sound of the Manx language using recordings of native speakers from the 1950s,
- A new piece of work by Mannin Youth Dance Company created especially for Mananan 50.
