Dysfunctional Disco invites you to another epic event this time bringing you an immersive Electronic music night at DeVille’s in Nelson on 28TH March with MamaDaFunk & Pino.Sarah Crowther, aka Mamadafunk is a multi-genre DJ with a bias towards keeping it funky.
From deep tech house, funky house and electronica to old-school funk, hip-hop, funky breaks, glitch, and ghetto funk, Mamadafunk will never fail to keep it phat, funky, fresh and interesting.
Recently Sarah has diversified her repertoire to include prog, psy-trance, techno, minimal deep tech she plays as MamaPsy, her DJ alter ego
Whether playing tunes as Mamadafunk or MamaPsy, she likes to bring a story and some humour to the party, her eclectic selections in tracks carefully and cleverly mixed provide a dance floor moment for all tastes!

Pino is renowned for her high energy sets with rollicking techno bass lines layered with lashings of house and deeper grooves, alongside tech and indie, all infused with old-school rave influences. She’s a regular feature at some of NZ’s biggest outdoor festivals with upcoming sets at Rhythm & Alps, Twisted Frequency and Shipwrecked to mention a few..
Pino launched Dysfunctional Disco, with the purpose to showcase some of Aotearoa’s top DJ talent.
Pino believes that music and dance has the power to connect, heal and expand
consciousness, describing it as “sustenance for the soul”.
