About this Event
The 19th annual Massachusetts Life Sciences Innovation (MALSI) Day is the biggest day for life sciences startups and innovation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This is a high-energy, hands-on, global event which brings together scientific leaders and business experts to mingle with scientists, post-docs, professors, entrepreneurs, innovators, and venture capitalists.
The day features panel discussions, emerging technology poster competition / pitches, and features Tech Transfer Office startups and a networking reception.
It is the flagship event of life sciences in Massachusetts, jointly and actively put together by the , , , and , in partnership with all the major organizations that are involved in starting and supporting the life sciences start-up ecosystem in the Commonwealth.

Apply to Present in the MALSI Day Showcase
MALSI Day Showcase is an opportunity for emerging university life sciences pre-startups and spinouts to present/pitch to investors and representatives from industry in a fun and dynamic environment. There will also be the opportunity to compete for two $2,000 prizes (Judges Award and Audience Favorite). This is a signature event in its 19th year!
Selected applicants will be provided with:
● Opportunity for a one-minute pitch to all attendees
● Exhibit space at the showcase
● Pitch-prep webinar
You are welcome to apply if:
● You are a PI or researcher affiliated with a Massachusetts university or academic research hospital or a member of a team/spinout working with a PI.
● You are working on commercializing life sciences technology/IP with the tech transfer office at your institution (you will be asked to provide contact info for who you are working with).
● You have not raised or do not expect to raise more than $1M in dilutive funding (angel, venture) prior to the event.
Accepted applicants must be available to attend the MALSI 2026 event at The Engine, 750 Main St., Cambridge, MA from 1pm -7pm on July 23, 2026.
