More of a stroll in the Park, this shorter Walk of 2 miles, led by JoJo, will take us from the car park in Malinslee Shopping Centre down into Telford Town Park. The location on What3Words App is https://what3words.com/rips.midfield.lunching There is additional car parking in the large car parks in the centre of Telford, off Southwater Way. If you chose to park there you can walk to the start by following the path uphill from opposite ASDA up to Malinslee Centre.
In the Town Park we will stop to explore the delightful Chelsea Gardens just off the Band Stand as well as making time to stop and explore other local features in the Park.
We will go around Withy Pool and take a look at the new Covid Memorial Gardens before we return to the Visitors Centre and maybe grab a takeaway coffee or ice cream. We will also visit the Holocaust Memorial, the Norman Chapel remains as well as the Memorial to workers of the Coalbrookdale Coalfield and the War Memorial. Returning via Southwater and retracing our steps to Malinslee Shopping Centre.
