About this Event
Malibu Lagoon Volunteer Weeding - California State Parks
Join California State Parks for a special volunteer stewardship day at Malibu Lagoon State Beach! Volunteers will work alongside State Parks natural resources staff to help restore this unique coastal landscape by hand-removing invasive weeds that threaten native plants and wildlife habitat.
Malibu Lagoon is home to rare coastal estuary ecosystems, nesting birds, pollinators, and fish. By removing invasive plants, volunteers help create space for native species to thrive.
This will be a hands-on restoration event with guidance from State Parks natural resources staff.
