Malaysia Primary School Band Festival (MPSBF) is an annual band festival that was started in 2023 by the National Band Directors Association of Malaysia (NBDAM). Through MPSBF, wind bands and ensembles from every part of Malaysia (West Malaysia, East Malaysia and Federal Territories) will be brought together to Kuala Lumpur for an exchange of musical ideas, skills and knowledges where musicians are expected to have an opportunity to continuously learn and consistently strive forexcellence in their next musical journey. The 2024 edition of MPSBF will take place on 9th November 2024 (Saturday). NBDAM aims to provide a comprehensive experience to all participating bands through the following activities:
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Participating bands and ensembles get to choose a challenging piece of music that can best showcase their performance ability. Groups will receive written feedback from a panel of renowned adjudicators to help improve the band’s performance.
𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽
From a follow-up workshop instantly after the performance end, the conductor and each band will get to work with one of the adjudicators to learn practical skills & techniques to enhance the
understanding and approach of its music repertoires.

Meet like-minded musicians from others parts of Malaysia! Do exchange for musical ideas and knowledges that could help musicians to gain vast experience from different band cultural
heritage, and build network for future collaboration.
