Mālama Mānoa Walkabout: Morning Guided Tour at Lyon Arboretum (Adults)
Join us Monday, November 17, 2025 at 9:15 AM for a guided morning walk through Lyon Arboretum, a 200-acre living museum at the end of Mānoa Valley. Founded in 1918 as a reforestation site, it now features 12 themed gardens, 7 miles of trails, and over 5,000 plant species managed by the University of Hawaiʻi.
Our expert guides will share the arboretum’s collections, history, and cultural stories, giving you a deeper view of Mānoa’s ecology and conservation efforts. The tour concludes at 10:30 AM, but attendees are welcome to continue exploring the gardens and trails on their own.
Know Before You Go:
- Location: Lyon Arboretum, end of Mānoa Road (not Mānoa Falls). Just past the Tropics restaurant.
- Parking: About five spots on site. Please carpool. Overflow at Mānoa Falls lot, then walk up.
- What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, water, and sun/rain protection.
Start your week with fresh air, lush greenery, and an expert-led perspective on one of Hawaiʻi’s most important conservation sites.
