An introduction to lace knitting to learn the skills to make your own With The Tide shawl. This one hank pattern from Anna Mathis is a great way to learn new knitting techniques.During the class you will make a sample piece of lace knitting.
Techniques taught include reading patterns and charts, using life lines, increasing, left and right leaning decreases and a loose bind off.
The class includes a copy of the pattern, a ball Rowan or West Yorkshire Spinners 4 ply sock yarn and scrap yarn for your sample piece, knitting needles to use during the workshop. (If you wish to bring some, you will require 4mm needles, any length)
You will need a 4mm x 80cm circular needle for the shawl pattern, available to purchase in store.
Participants need to be able to cast on, knit and purl in order to take part in this workshop.
