Making Spirits Bright is making its way here on Saturday, December 7 at North Aurora Riverfront Park! Check out the event line-up below!🔴Santa's Workshop Craft Making Station: We'll have an ornament station at Village Hall to create and decorate ornaments that participants can then hang on the 12-foot tall Community Christmas Tree! Pop by anytime from 5:30-7:30pm. (Can't make it out? We'll have extra supplies at Village Hall after the event!)
🎄Park Lighting: At approximately 5:15pm North Aurora Riverfront Park will officially be lit for the holidays by Mayor Mark Gaffino! Join us for the countdown and to see all of the amazing new light displays we have in store!
🎅Visits with Santa: Sit with the jolly old man himself to share your Christmas list and for photos with Santa in the Overlook Gazebo from 5:30-7:30pm.
🦌 Pet Live Reindeer: Come pet and take photos with live reindeer from 5:30-7:30pm!
🚨Holiday Light Parade: Watch (or participate!) in the parade that starts the festivities at 5pm! This year the community is invited to be in the parade with the Mayor awarding the best decorated resident vehicle the title of "Best Holiday Spirit" AND a Target gift card. 🍗 Holiday Food Drive AND Plastic Bag Collection: Give back to others by bringing donations to the Village's Annual Food Drive! Volunteers will be collecting donations at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the park. North Aurora Cub Scouts Pack 301 will also be collecting plastic bags (make sure they're clean!) so bring them by and help the environment too! Collections will be accepted from 5-7:30pm.
🎄Christmas Tree Grove: Today is the LAST DAY to sponsor a tree in our Christmas Tree Grove! Open to all North Aurora businesses, civic groups and organizations. Please find all information here: northaurora.org/community-information/sponsor-a-tree/
☕Hot Chocolate and Ice Cream Bar: Cook's Ice Cream Cart & Catering will be on scene selling deliciously hot hot chocolate and holiday flavored ice cream from 5-7:30pm!
