Roger Pielke, Jr. Bio

Roger Pielke, Jr. is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and an Honorary Professor at University College London. Previously, he spent over two decades on the faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder. Roger is recognized for his work at the intersection of science, policy, and politics, with a focus on climate, energy, innovation, and sports. In 2024, he was elected to the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters. He also runs the popular Substack "The Honest Broker" and frequently advises governments, businesses, and organizations worldwide. His research is widely cited across multiple disciplines.

He is also author, co-author or co-editor of seven books, including The Honest Broker: Making Sense of Science in Policy and Politics published by Cambridge University Press (2007), The Climate Fix: What Scientists and Politicians Won’t Tell you About Global Warming (2010, Basic Books) and The Rightful Place of Science: Disasters and Climate Change (2014, Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes). His most recent book is The Edge: The War Against Cheating and Corruption in the Cutthroat World of Elite Sports (Roaring Forties Press, 2016).
