About this Event
Making Sense of Adult Life - Moving on (age 15+)
As your child comes towards the end of their school years it can be a time of worry about the future, but it is also a time of possibilities and new horizons. Being prepared and knowing what to do and where to go for help and advice puts you and your young person in the best position to take advantage of what's on offer and be prepared for the inevitable changes.
This workshop will consider the roles of parents, schools and Further Education colleges and look forward to planning for continuing education, increasing independence, work and other opportunities and general preparation for adulthood.
Please note this workshop is funded by Reaching Families for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities in West Sussex only. It is not suitable for professionals.
Registration - In order that the trainer can have a better understanding of your young person with additional needs and tailor the workshop to your needs, we are requesting details during booking about their age and diagnosis (if appropriate) or description of needs.
This information will be stored securely and will only be shared with Jane Cross who is the trainer. You can read our full Privacy Notice on the Reaching Families website - https://www.reachingfamilies.org.uk/images/contact/RF_Privacy_Notice_2019.pdf
