About this Event

As we mark the 5th anniversary of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines that helped bring an end to the global pandemic, join us for a discussion with Noubar Afeyan, founder and CEO of biotech venture company Flagship Pioneering and co-founder and chairman of Moderna, to explore what the development and deployment of Moderna’s vaccine can teach us about harnessing American innovation. An entrepreneur and biochemical engineer, Afeyan holds more than 100 patents and has co-founded more than 120 life science and technology startups, most of them here in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. WBUR correspondent Martha Bebinger moderates.

This program is supported in part by State Street.
