Join the Haskell Greenhouse and Courtney Eddy King (Lab and Field Research Assistant) in learning how to make/prepare native plant medicines! For thousands of years, Indigenous Peoples have held integral relationships with native plant species.
Since colonization, significant Indigenous traditional native plant knowledge has been lost. The Haskell Greenhouse wants to do what we can to mend relationships with our plant relatives for past, present, and future generations of Indigenous People.
During this workshop, we will teach about native plant medicines while demonstrating how to prepare them in teas and poultices and preserve them for later use.
This event will occur outside (at the mouth of the Haskell Woodlands). Please bring your own chairs, blankets, water supply, snacks, etc. We hope to see you out on the land with us!
