As part of the UK wide Being Human Festival 2024 we’re celebrating with two events bringing together researchers from the School of History, Archaeology and Religion, community partners and artists, and a dedicated team of local volunteers, to explore exciting histories, build skills and create opportunities for the vibrant communities of Caerau and Ely. For our first event we warmly invite members of the Caerau and Ely community to explore incredible discoveries of Cardiff’s past from the stone-age to the modern era.
The first day of “Making History in Cardiff” will be hosted at the CAER Heritage Centre from 14:00-18:00pm on Friday 15th November!
Come along and see remarkable Bronze Age artefacts from the first known house in the city, taste Roman foods, step back in time to explore the Iron-Age, and get hands-on with heritage themed ancient crafts. No booking is required – just drop in!
