A practical interactive workshop with composer and pianist Pete Letanka. We explore improvisation and story-telling as we work together to create our own micro-opera.

Pete studied Jazz and Contemporary music at Leeds College of Music, where he won a scholarship to spend a year studying with Mark Polishook at the University of Maine in the USA. He graduated with a 1st class BA (Hons) and the Leeds University Armes award for the highest mark in his graduating year. On graduation, he formed the Pete Letanka Trio and was signed to the award-winning label Zephyr Records, who released his debut album, “Afrostocracy” to critical acclaim.
