About this Event
Students will learn how to make a mitered picture frame for a 5x7 photo or print in this 2-day class. Each student will make a frame from solid cherry using the table saw, router, band saw, chop saw, and various fixtures. We will talk about different techniques to glue up the frames, and each frame will be splined with walnut to give it added strength. Introduction to Woodworking class would be helpful, but not necessary. Safety in using the power tools will be a priority. The class will be divided into two sessions, giving time for the frame to dry overnight after glue-up.
