Makeup Refresh Masterclass 40+!

Makeup artist and green beauty expert, Maria Velve, is hosting a makeup refresher workshop for women 40+ which will focus on:

• skin prep for mature skin to achieve a flawless makeup application
• reviewing skincare products to aid makeup application
• foundation and concealer do's and dont's
• eye shadow and eyeliner placement and shade selection
• why eyebrows are a-must to any makeup application
• blush placement and product selection
• everything about the lips - care, liner, lipstick finish and shade selection

You will be guided on your techniques by Maria who will be doing a demo on the participants! We do not bring in 20 something models as we feel this is false advertising for our 40+ demographic. You will work on your face to improve your own techniques and achieve a beautiful makeup application. At the end of the workshop you will know how to:

- prep your skin before makeup so your application is glowing

- apply concealer to cover discolouration and lift the face

- place eye shadows in a way that works best for mature eyes

- apply blush (cream + powder) and what shades work best for your complexion

- take care of your lips, and choose shades and products

PLEASE NOTE:

1) we will have extra makeup brushes on hand, but please bring your own clean brushes if you have them.

2) If your day allows, please arrive with cleansed and moisturized skin. The space has a bathroom and a cleanser will be provided if you need to wash your face.

3) we cannot know all attendees skin tones in advance, so please bring a liquid foundation and/ or concealer (if you wear them) and a face powder to help set your makeup. If you have a makeup bag of product that you'd like to know how to use, please bring it!

4) Your ticket price includes a gift bag of deluxe skincare + makeup samples

5) Plan to go out for a drink or dinner afterwards since your makeup will be all done - the space is in the Kipling and Gardiner Expressway area and minutes from the shops and restaurants of Sherway Gardens.

6) There is ample parking at the event site. If taking TTC, there is a bus from Royal York station.

7) Light refreshments will be provided.

8) By purchasing a ticket you agree to photos and video taken during the event for marketing purposes.

Info: Arrival and settling in. There will be refreshments available. Anyone who needs to use the washroom to wash their face can do so at this time. Find your spot at the table and get ready to start with our makeup refresher!

Info: Maria will be doing a makeup demo on a 40+ model. Two other certified makeup artists will be circulating and offering assistance to anyone who needs it. We'll be starting off with skin prep for makeup and proceeding with adding colour to the face, eyes and lips.

Info: We'll be wrapping up the session during this time. This will give you some time to take a few pictures of your makeup if you wish, and clean up your personal items from the makeup stations. We'll also have products for sale if you wish to purchase anything after the event.
