Maker Nights are back! Get ready to explore our maker tools in these hands-on workshops. Each workshop focuses on a different maker tool. On Monday, April 27th, learn all about how to use Iron-On Vinyl and a heat press to upcycle your clothes. Join us for an evening of hands-on upcycling with iron-on vinyl. Learn simple techniques to refresh clothing, bags, and fabric scraps using shared tools and a bit of creativity. Our skilled instructor will walk you through each step, so you can leave with a custom piece you’ll actually use. By reworking what you already have, you’ll help reduce waste and support Guelph Tool Library’s culture of sharing and sustainability. Please bring any garments you'd like to work with. Fabrics that are at least 50% natural fibres (cotton, linen) will work best for this project, as fabrics with a high synthetic content can melt from the heat needed to iron on the vinyl.
Tickets for Guelph Tool Library members are $20, non members are $30. Benefactor tickets are available for $40 and provide a ticket for yourself, while subsidizing the cost of someone facing financial barriers. If you need a subsidized ticket, please reach out to [email protected] to obtain a discount code. Advanced purchase is strongly suggested as tickets will likely sell out. Please only purchase directly from the Guelph Tool Library Zeffy page and beware of links from commenters outside of the official Guelph Tool Library account.
All supplies used are at your own risk.
