Get ready for the most CREATIVE day on Long Island. Maker Faire Long Island returns to Stony Brook University on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Join us for a full day of creativity, invention, and hands-on fun at the intersection of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). This is one of the most unique and family friendly events on Long Island, part festival, part tech expo, part science fair, and all about making, creating a space where innovation and imagination collide.
Dubbed the "Greatest Show & Tell on Earth," this event has been a beacon of ingenuity since 2015, attracting makers and visitors from across the New York Tri-State area and beyond.

Dogs are allowed outdoors on campus; however, only service dogs are permitted indoors.
Is this good for kids?
Absolutely! Maker Faire is designed for everyone aged 2 to 99+. It is hands-on, engaging, and genuinely fun for the whole family.
Will food and drinks? ๐๐ฅค
Yes! Food trucks and vendors will be on-site offering a variety of delicious meals, snacks, and beverages throughout the day. Whether youโre craving something sweet, savory, or a quick pick-me-up, weโve got you covered. Outside food is permitted in outdoor areas, but we ask that you help us keep the campus clean by disposing of trash properly.
What if it rains? โ
The show will go on rain or shine! With plenty of indoor spaces to keep everyone dry and comfortable.
